Communication equipment for the Royal Netherlands Military Constabulary (KMar) must be literally and figuratively watertight. The KMar ensures the safety of the state, in the Netherlands but also far beyond. The KMar’s tasks include policing on and across borders and guarding and protecting important people and objects. This varies from guarding and securing external borders at airports to securing royal palaces. In addition, the military police are committed to civil aviation against terrorism, drug and human smuggling. This requires means of communication that enable communication over long distances and are also inconspicuous.
